Jochen tells us that according to research there were globally 2 million e-vehicles in 2016. This year we have already have 3.3 million e-vehicles on the roads. Furthermore the centre of automotive research suggests that there will be 9 million e-vehicles by 2020 and 75 million by 2025. When looking at the build up of the e-vehicles the metals they use are very interesting. For example the new E-Golf from Volkswagen uses 50KG of copper and in a Tesla there are 8KM of copper cables. The only issue in terms of the boom in e-vehicles and rechargeable batteries is the infrastru...

Two years later the price of uranium went up almost ten-fold, and they sold the asset for 2.5 billion which was driven entirely by the uranium price. They see something similar happening today with battery metal materials. The consensus view is that electric vehicles are getting close to parity in price with combustion engine vehicles. The E.U., USA, and China will all reach price parity within six years and possibly sooner. Continued improvements to battery technology are further reducing costs. Many car companies and governments are looking at ending combustion engines in passenger vehicles within the next few years. Mike and his...

First I thought we should talk about where you can find lithium today. The truth is it’s likely on your body right now, you may be holding it in your hand, or you’re looking directly at it. But you might be surprised to know it’s also used in things like tools, aerospace equipment, military applications and backup storage for our Electric grid. And of course, Tesla’s and other electric cars // Looking to buy a Tesla S or X? Use our referral code and instantly receive $1,000 off and Free Supercharging! (limited) Get Started - https://teslanomics.co/td // It is so good for batteries that 39% of all Lithium production goes towards battery production. So what is Lithium anyway? Lithium itself is a soft, silvery-white alkali metal. It is the lightest metal and the lightest solid element. Like all alkali metals, lithium is highly reactive and flammable. So this isn’t something you’d want just laying around your house. Especially if you have a toddler running around like I do... So Lithium is a metal so it must be mined right, like copper? Well, not exactly. It’s true lithium can be mined from rocks but mostly it’s found in brine pools. Lithium is also present in seawater but there aren’t any commercially viable methods of extracting it at this time As an aside when you see a meme floating around the internet showing a giant mine where lithium comes from, it’s a lie. As of 2017, most of the world's lithium production is in South America, where lithium-containing brine is extracted from underground pools and concentrated by solar evaporation. The standard extraction technique is to evaporate water from brine. Each batch takes from 18 to 24 months. With so much demand for lithium it’s a fair question to ask... Are Tesla and others doomed? Well…not really The US Geological Survey’s report for 2017 shows that "Worldwide lithium production increased by an estimated 12% in 2016 in response to increased lithium demand for battery applications. Production in Argentina increased nearly 60%, primarily owing to a new brine operation; the leading Argentine producer also increased production. A producer in Chile reported that its production rose by 20%. Two small Australian spodumene operations, one new and one inactive since 2013, planned to begin commercial concentrate production by year end. Worldwide lithium production capacity was reported to be 49,400 tons in 2015; capacity utilization was estimated to be 64% in 2015 and 71% in 2016. Based on average projections by producers and industry analysists of about 14% growth worldwide, consumption of lithium in 2016 is projected to be about 37,800 tons, up from 33,300 tons in 2015. So the trend is going up, but when you look at the overall picture you find that owing to continuing exploration, lithium resources have increased substantially worldwide. Identified lithium resources in the United States, from continental brines, geothermal brines, hectorite, oil field brines, and pegmatites, have been revised to 6.9 million tons. Identified lithium resources in other countries have been revised to approximately 40 million tons. Identified lithium resources in Argentina and Bolivia are about 9 million tons each and in major producing countries are Australia, more than 2 million tons; Chile, more than 7.5 million tons; and China, approximately 7 million tons. Canada’s lithium resources are about 2 million tons. Congo (Kinshasa), Russia, and Serbia have resources of about 1 million tons each. Lithium resources in Brazil and Mexico are approximately 200,000 tons each and Austria, and Zimbabwe have more than 100,000 tons each. Beyond just producing more lithium, companies like Tesla have focused on creating a closed-loop battery recycling program since as early as 2011. So while Tesla drivetrains are rated to go 1M miles, and the batteries will likely last to last north of 350K miles, once the cars do get turned in, Tesla isn’t going to just throw away those precious metals. If you’re an investor in companies reliant on lithium for their batteries such as Tesla, Apple, Google, or any other company making electronics today, you shouldn’t worry about the supply chain. We’ve got a long road ahead of us and probably by the time we need to worry about a shortage of Lithium we’ll have a new way to make batteries that are even better. // Join Our Community on Patreon! The company still has to sift through a pile of information collected by the Austrians back in the eighties, and it has done a bit of drilling to verify that data. “We’ve now got 6.3mln tonnes going over 1% lithium”, Sage said. The company is mulling two routes to production, and which route it takes depends on the testing the company is currently doing. If the ore is ready to be mined, then some production could be fast-tracked. Over the long term, by the end of 2018 or early 2019, the company should be in full production. “Our aim is to be the very first supplier of lithium from Europe, to Europe,” Sage said. “You’ve got a lot of suppliers coming from South America, Australia and North America, but the cost of transporting the material to Europe is expensive; if we can be the first producers in Europe, we can distribute the product throughout Europe for four or five dollars a tonne.”

Blue Haze deliver an instantly more looped out, old school Techno feel as yet more direct sequences are met with driving hi hats but overall, given a more delicate touch with smooth, ethereal pads. The wonderfully titled Take The Corvette closes out another storming release from Henning, taking things down a decidedly more House orientated route. Its foreboding bass line generates an ominous atmosphere and yet more subtle use of FX builds the foundations of a truly individual piece. Henning never ceases to impress with his releases and proves yet a gain to be one of Soma’s standout artists. Mastered by Conor Dalton @ http://glowcast.co.uk/

http://goldstocktrades.com/blog We are in the midst of summer doldrums, volumes are down across the board. Shorts are clearly in charge. Just look at top performing Tesla $TSLA which was taken down on bearish reports indicating potential production shortfalls. Remember the shorts have been squeezed from possibly $50, Tesla recently was trading close to $400 per share so its entitled to a pullback. Tesla may not be able to keep up with production targets if they do not secure supplies of lithium, cobalt and graphite. Most of this supply comes from South American sources which may be sold out past a certain date. Cobalt is coming from Congo where there are concerns of child slave labor in the mining areas. Graphite is mostly imported from China which is sable rattling in the South China Seas and their proxy N. Korea. Lithium and cobalt are in a strong price uptrend. Graphite like rare earths have been manipulated lower by the Chinese to prevent competition from N. American sources. Cobalts is breaking into new multi year highs and is really driving interest in the junior mining sector. I’ve been highlighting LiCo $LIC.V, First Cobalt $FCC.V and Cobalt Power $CPO.V which I own and they are website sponsors. See my recent post on Cobalt Power $CPO.V $CBBWF which has an interview linked with the CEO Dr. Rompel who worked for major mining companies such as Anglo American and Hohschild. Cobalt Power may have one of the first drill results in cobalt sector to announce to public coming out shortly which I am quite excited about. Lico $LIC.V $WCTXF has a lithium project in the Atacama in Chile next to the big boys plus an exciting cobalt property in Ontario which may get some news. Lico has attracted some top notch board members such as former management of companies like BC Hydro and Truegold. First Cobalt $FCC.V $FTSSF is halted as they are merging into possibly the top pure play cobalt player in Canada with an all star roster of mining executives. These three companies above are very active and could announce significant developments concurrently with the Tesla Model 4 release which could be a major disruptor to the automobile industry as the Iphone was to the cell phone industry. We saw it with cell phones and internet, now it is the computerized self driving electric car. I wouldn’t be surprised if all of us are driving electric cars by 2030. As the Tesla Model 3 is released don’t be surprised to see an uptick in interest in the lithium, cobalt and graphite sector. In addition to the Model 3 news, major car companies such as Volvo, Volkswagon and BMW are committed towards electric motors. Volvo wants to be totally electric in two years. This is a huge news item which most investors are ignoring. They need to realize this transition of auto companies could create a major shift in the supply demand curve. Keep a close eye on China and its proxy N. Korea. There is a lot of tension in the South China Seas and this could boil over into the critical rare earths and graphite space needed desperately for renewable clean energy. Remember electric vehicles use a lot of graphite and rare earths. Now is the time to look at the rare earth survivors such as Ucore and Commerce. Notice Quest has gone bankrupt. Molycorp’s Mountain Pass is being stolen by the Chinese right under our noses. This is a travesty. Americans should write to their politicians and state they don’t want their mining and manufacturing industries sent overseas. We can mine rare earths, lithium, graphite and cobalt right here in North America. The rare earth market could bounce after the Molycorp and Quest bankruptcies. Things could get volatile with Trump and international relationships in Asia. Notice the major move in palladium in 2017 yet? Its outperformed mostly all asset classes. Most of that material comes out of Russia. Any good junior palladium explorers you like? Please let me know. Do you have Newrange Gold $NRG.V $CMBPF on your radar yet? They may be on the verge of one of the best high grade gold discoveries in Nevada in many years. Its just beginning to get noticed by investors as many just don’t care in the summer. However, I am quite excited and think you should take notice. Disclosure: I am biased. These companies are website sponsors and I own securities. Owning securities and receiving compensation is a conflict of interest. This contains forward looking statements which may not come to fruition as junior mining is extremely risky. This should be considered an advertisement and not financial advice. Do your own due diligence.

E-Vehicles are the future Battery run cars, e-vehicles, green cars are taking the world by storm. We speak with Jochen Staiger, CEO of Swiss Resource Capital AG about the huge move forward in the automotive industry. The only issue in terms of the boom in e-vehicles and rechargeable batteries is the infrastructure. For battery run vehicles to succeed they will need 500km of real reach and 200km or reserve reach to hit the mass market successfully. China are currently building 10 giga factories. Germany are building 2, (Porsche and Daimler). The technology itself is not new, it is a 35 year old technology. Everyone can do it. The challenge now is improving on the technology to allow for more loading cycles, higher capacity and a faster charge. What stocks should I consider? When looking at how to best position yourself in the market to make the most of the boom. Jochen suggests looking at Lithium, Cobalt and Copper producers. Geographically Argentina, and Chile in Lithium are areas to focus on. Canada is the first country where you can purchase cobalt safely. Australia has lithium, nickel and copper and will continue to lead the commodity market. Copper is on of the top metals. It is important for all e-vehicles. Jochen signs off by saying that even with the positive move forward in the e-vehicle industry there are still problems. Many countries simply do not have the infrastructure for charging batteries. Many countries will need to invest in increasing the power supply demands. Finally Jochen tells us that oil will remain important for the next 20 years and that we will not see a drop in oil consumption for a long time. Mike discusses his investments and his background in uranium. He got started in the uranium sector back in 2005 when he helped acquire a project in Africa. Mike and his team have focused on three metals that go into the battery packs. These are lithium, cobalt, and nickel. A Tesla S requires 63kg of lithium carbonate. If you assume that 25% of passenger vehicles move to electric the world will need some six times current lithium and cobalt mine supply and three times current class one nickel supply. These are pretty staggering numbers for an industry that normally has very slow growth. A lot of capital will need to be allocated to this space. He discusses three companies that provide opportunity in each of the metal spaces. LSC Lithium (VSE:LSC.CA), Cobalt 27 (CVE:KBLT) and Gigametals (TSX.V:GIGA).

November 29, 2016 -- Kirill Klip, President of International Lithium Corp. (TSXV: ILC), in an interview with InvestorIntel Corp. CEO Tracy Weslosky discuss the competitive advantage innate in having one of the world’s leading lithium material producers, Ganfeng as a global exploration partner. Recently announcing the drilling results from the Avalonia project in Ireland, Kirill explains why InvestorIntel European Editor Christopher Ecclestone describes International Lithium as having “battery grade” lithium. Tracy Weslosky: For all of, for our InvestorIntel audience out there I’ve been actually chasing Kirill down for about 3 years now. Has it been 3 years Kirill? Kirill Klip: Yeah, that’s true. Tracy Weslosky: So we’re delighted to have you as an InvestorIntel member and I would love it if you would start by explaining why we were chasing you down and give the InvestorIntel audience a better overview and introduction to who International Lithium Corp. (TSXV: ILC) is please. Kirill Klip: Thank you Tracy. You are very kind to us. International Lithium is a lithium exploration and development company. What really makes us standalone from the crowd is our vertically integrated business model with Ganfeng Lithium. Ganfeng Lithium is one of the major lithium material producers from China and now with them we are exploring on three continents, if you could believe it, in South America, in Ireland and in Canada. Tracy Weslosky: Well as you know --- we agree with you, your deal with Ganfeng Lithium is substantial. I’m going to have you back up and reintroduce our audience to the actual deal that you have because I think it’s really going to affect your market valuation Kirill when our audience understands what this deal is. Kirill Klip: Yes, thank you; very, very interesting and important question. Ganfeng Lithium grown up from $3 million in sales in the year 2000 to more than $200 million in sales last year. Now we have basically lithium top 5 in the world with Albemarle number one, with SQM number two and now Ganfeng and another Chinese company, Tianqui push former three in the world, FMC, into the fifth place. Basically we are making business with $4.5 billion dollar market cap company from China, Ganfeng Lithium, which is now on field with four plays dependent on their searches. We were fortunate we started our business 7 years ago and this year actually we celebrated our fifth anniversary of our IPO with Ganfeng Lithium. Like you mentioned, we can call it the major deal in the whole lithium sector because we are the only one basically an exploration arm of a major lithium producing company. They spent two years studying all our projects, making all due diligences on our properties. In the end they have chosen two major projects, which are now developing with them joint ventures, one of them is in Ireland and another one in Argentina. The Argentina one is called Mariana and in Ireland we have Avalonia project with Ganfeng. Tracy Weslosky: Okay. Speaking of Avalonia project, you just did the mobilization of your drills with Ganfeng. Is that not correct? You just announced this, what, 2 months ago. Kirill Klip: Yes, exactly. Two months ago we mobilized 2 drills following our very impressive results. Now we have up to 9 known pegmatites over there, some of them as large as 500 meters. We have very, very interesting intersections. http://goldstocktrades.com/blog Voltaic’s project manager has worked for all the big lithium companies and Oak Ridge National Laboratory specifically in new technologies processing lithium. He has decided to join Voltaic because he has a technology that is different and Voltaic is a good match as it is early stage willing to look at a non conventional process of retrieving lithium from old abandoned oilfields in the Paradox Basin near Moab, Utah. What is the advantage here with Voltaic? Its brownfield rather than greenfield exploration. They don’t have to spend years and tons of money on drilling proving a resource. Some of these old abandoned wells already have high lithium values. The multimillion dollar question is can Voltaic’s technology process it? If Voltaic can prove the technology at a pilot scale then they could probably sign some offtakes with potential battery companies such as Tesla or Panasonic. The time to market could be great if Voltaic can make some progress on the processing it could open up doors for other brines in the USA. A technological advancement in brine processing could open up lithium mining in the USA. Right now there is only one small producing asset in Clayton Valley Nevada but there could be a lot more if a processing technology could make it somewhat competitive to the higher grade lithium brines in South America where supply is not as secure geopolitically. This technology could have critical importance to the USA as these gigafactories are relying on imported lithium from Argentina, Chile and Bolivia. Voltaic’s Green Energy Project has historical oil wells with high numbers of lithium right near Moab, Utah. To reenter these wells and take a sample is a fraction of the cost than drilling. Remember lithium is more about chemical processing rather than mining. If you look today most companies use the sun in the desert to separate lithium using evaporation. This is the traditional method that has been used for years. However, evaporation takes time and these large producers are mostly sold out for years. Non conventional processes have had challenges being economic removing impurities from the solution. However, the lithium price is soaring and technologies are improving. This technology could potentially open up some domestic brines all over the US especially the geothermal brines. They need to show that the brines can flow and then take samples where they can create a product. A small pilot plant will need to be build to prove that the chemcial processing can be done on a commercial scale. I wouldn’t be surprised with the Project Manager’s expertise and connections if end users are not yet interested to help fund development. As Voltaic progresses I expect their market cap to increase and the stock not staying under a dime at bottom fishing prices. In a recent news release Tom Currin, Voltaic Project Manager stated, “If successful, this process could create value from known resources in the US and globally. The company is incorporating selective techniques, used commercially in mineral extraction and water treatment, in a novel fashion to achieve a result not yet seen in the Lithium process sector.” Mr. Currin has over 35 years of chemical engineering experience in the Lithium and Specialty Chemicals Industry. He has an extensive background in process development, project management implementation and Lithium extraction having managed projects in Chile, Peru, Mexico, Canada and the United States. Mr. Currin is currently President and Founder of Limtech Technology - an engineering firm focused on providing services to the Specialty Chemical Industry (Lithium, Potash and Antimony) and the Biofuels industry. Prior to starting his own firm, Tom spent 15 years with FMC Lithium Division and 3 years with Li3 Energy Inc. where his last positions were Division Production Coordinator and Chief Operating Officer, respectively. Most recently, Tom’s team was awarded the 2016 Outstanding Partnership Regional Award by the Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer for it’s work with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s Environmentally Sound Geothermal Silica Extraction Technology. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science, Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University. Disclosure: I own securities in Voltaic Minerals and the company is a website sponsor which means I have been compensated for advertising and I have a conflict of interest as I could benefit from an increased share price. http://goldstocktrades.com/blog The Kings Valley Asset is 100% owned by Western Lithium and the company is continuing to prove that it can be competitive with the current producers. This world class lithium asset is located in the mining friendly, supportive and stable jurisdiction of Nevada. It could be one of the major suppliers to battery factories such as the $5 billion plant Tesla is building. Recently, Western Lithium received a $1.5 million payment from its largest shareholder towards building a Lithium Demonstration Plant in Germany expected to be operational by the end of 2014. The company received a USA patent for its process which separates lithium and potassium from clays. Western Lithium has a prefeasibility study which forecasts lower costs against current and potential producers. Western Lithium recently announced that the BLM has approved the Final Environmental Assessment. This means Western Lithium can operate the Hectorite clay Mine. Western Lithium CEO Jay Chmelauskas stated in the recent PR that, "We are beginning clay mining operations in 2014 to support our strategy of initially selling Hectatone™ organoclay products in the near term to the growing oilfield industry...Ultimately, we plan to increase our activities at Kings Valley and extract lithium from our hectorite clay in the future, in order to become a strategic USA based lithium supplier for new battery manufacturing that is anticipated due to increased lithium demand expected from electrified vehicles and grid storage." With renewed interest in electric vehicles and lithium ion batteries, Western Lithium could continue its upward breakout on record volume. Look for a breakout into new highs for Western Lithium as renewed interest comes into this high growth sector. This year may be a major year with the Lithium demonstration plant operational by year end and the Organoclay Plant producing hectorite by the summer. Disclosure: I am long WLCDF and WLC is a sponsor.

March 24, 2017 -- Harry Barr, Chairman, CEO, and Director of New Age Metals Inc. (TSXV: NAM | OTCQB: PAWEF), in an interview with InvestorIntel’s CEO Tracy Weslosky discuss the company’s place in the precious metals market with respect to PGMs and lithium. At the moment, they have roughly 70.8 tonnes of PGMs with a focus on palladium first and platinum second. With the resurgence of platinum metals, the company has a competitive edge: they’re one of the few producers inside North America. On the lithium side, the company has five projects around Winnipeg, Canada, two of which will soon begin drilling, and two more that will follow suit in the coming months. Tracy Weslosky: Harry it’s wonderful to see you. I love the new company name, 'New Age Metals'. Can you tell us, what was the incentive to change the name? Harry Barr: We have two divisions Tracy and they’re both green energy metals so we thought 'New Age Metals' would better describe what we’re doing. One of them is platinum group metals and the other is lithium. Tracy Weslosky: What I’d love to just share with our audience is Christopher Ecclestone called me recently and said, “Who is this New Age Metals and why didn’t you tell me about it?”... Let’s talk about PGMs first. Harry Barr: We have the largest undeveloped deposit of its kind in platinum group metals, in Canada. We have 2.5 million ounces and a new discovery in the northern portion of the property. We’re quite excited about it. Tracy Weslosky: I was reading a story about you called, “The New Age Dawn of Palladium”. They were talking about how platinum’s back on a tear. Can you tell me how New Age Metals is planning on capitalizing on this? Harry Barr: Our project is primarily a PGM project. We’re palladium first, platinum second, gold third and we have some other metals as well. Palladium has done very well. I think it’s one of the best performing precious metals this year. It’s in the high $700 range. Platinum is just over $1,000. These are metals that are needed for auto catalysts for the car industry and green metals. So from everything I’ve read and everything the analysts are saying, there’s a tremendous demand going forward and probably a limited supply. Tracy Weslosky: But your competitive advantage for New Age Metals is with your PGMs? Harry Barr: We’re located in North America. Most PGMs come from South Africa and Russia Disclaimer: New Age Metals Inc. is an advertorial member of InvestorIntel
